CBF Golf Day 2010
Many thanks to you all for supporting CBF at the 2010 annual golf day.
I'm sure you will all agree once again it was an extremely successful day, helped of course by the glorious weather we were lucky enough to enjoy! The course was playing well and in great condition so it was a day for good scoring.
Amongst the winners were Gary Tommy who won the ‘Individual Richardson Watt Challenge’ with an outstanding score of 41 Stableford points. This included a number of birdies, so well done Gary! An exceptionally close second place was achieved by Richard Sims with 40 points! In the morning the Texas Scramble was won by Bob Bradley's team, supported by Steve Hope, Philip Webb and John Richardson.
In the afternoon Stableford competition, the winning team was lead by Leighton Wilcox, supported by Gary Tommy, John Pompei and Steven Heath. Nearest the Pin on the 8th hole went to Ron Lewis. A great achievement for Ron, who attended a CBF golf day many years ago when we held our first beginners day for golfers.
The Longest Drive on the 18th hole was won by Isobel Brett. The Hot Potato competition which always provides lots of laughs and stressful moments on the course was won by Trevor Price's team, which included Richard Sims, Tim Dykes and Andrew Rutherford. They kept the yellow ball until the 17th where Trevor put it in the wet stuff - not before the team achieved 35 points! (x7 net birdies).
Once again many thanks to you all for your generosity in supporting CBF’s raffle, raising money for St Clare's Hospice at North Weald. Between us we proudly raised over £400. Many thanks.
We hope you all had a fantastic day and would like to take this opportunity in thanking you for supporting CBF over another year.
We greatly look forward to seeing you again next year!
