Sluggish economic recovery ‘here to stay’
Recovery from the 2008 recession is the worst by far of all the recessions of the last few decades, according to an economic expert.
Speaking at Credit Today’s Collections conference in Manchester yesterday Dr Paula Ramada of London Economics pointed to the fact that, 16 quarters on from the trough of recession, the UK’s GDP has not yet reached its pre-recession peak.
GDP shows little sign of growing quickly in future either. “It doesn't look likely that even two years from now we’ll be back where we started,” she said....read more
